Decision: Reconsideration of an award of interest on costs payable to the Claimant by the Authority following a compensation hearing and award made pursuant to the Expropriation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 125. Following a previous hearing, the court had declined to award interest to the Claimant on costs submitted to the Authority after the compensation hearing had commenced and found to be payable by the Authority. This decision was set aside on appeal and returned to the Master for reconsideration. On reconsideration, the Claimants were awarded interest at the prevailing rates on the costs at issue.
