| Federal Cabinet approves reconsidered Trans Mountain Expansion Project |

| On June 18th the federal cabinet approved an order in council authorizing resumption of the Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline project. Order in Council No. P.C. 2019-0820 directs the National Energy Board to issue a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity pursuant to s. 54 of the National Energy Board Act. Earlier today the N.E.B. acted on the order and issued Certificate of Public Convenience and necessity OC-065. This approval is subject to numerous conditions some of which have been revised since the original project approval was issued in 2016. |
