Canadian Energy Regulator Act comes into force |
August 28, 2019 |
Previously known as Bill C-69 the new Canadian Energy Regulator Act was approved by Parliament on June 21st and came into force on August 28th. The new Act replaces the National Energy Board Act and will perform a similar function. The most significant changes involve the governance structure of the organization. However decisions previously issued by the N.E.B. will continue to have force under the new regime. |
