| National Energy Board issues schedule for Trans Mountain reconsideration hearing |

| The National Energy Board has issued a hearing order setting out the next steps and a schedule for reconsideration of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project. Although this project was previously reviewed by the Board in May 2016 and approved by the federal Cabinet in November 2016, a Federal Court of Canada ruling on August 30, 2018 cancelled the approval and directed the Board to consider the issue of project related marine shipping. The Government of Canada has directed the N.E.B. to issue its report on the reconsideration by February 22, 2019. |
