Trans Mountain pipeline project application submitted to National Energy Board |
December 16, 2013 |
Trans Mountain Pipeline ULC has submitted an application to the National Energy Board for approval of a proposed pipeline known as the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project. In an earlier filing with the Board the project was described as the twinning of the existing Trans Mountain Pipeline System which would require 981 km of new buried pipeline together with new or modified pump stations, tanks and additional tanker loading facilities at the Westridge Marine Terminal. The existing pipeline system runs between Edmonton and Burnaby. The application was submitted to the N.E.B. pursuant to Part III of the National Energy Board Act. |
