The British Columbia Expropriation Association 2001 Fall Seminar will be taking place on October 26-27, 2001 in Vancouver.
The program commences with a segment on eminent domain and public land acquisition in California. The panel features Ross Dalpre and Kevin Allmand. Both speakers work for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. Dalpre will be recognized by many from his previous employment in Canada with the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Highways.
Also included are discussions on the recent CRTC decision regarding compensation to the City of Vancouver for telecommunications facilities installed within City streets, a program on regulatory takings in Canada, a program on the use and abuse of linear regression in business valuation, a case study on acquisition issues and the annual B.C. case law update. The case law update will once again feature the "point/counterpoint" routine of Alan Hincks and Bob Cosburn.
