Decision: Preliminary application to the Alberta Land and Property Rights Tribunal pursuant to the Expropriation Act, RSA 2000, c E-13, for an order dismissing an application for determination of compensation. In the main action the Claimants were seeking compensation for the cancellation of a lease of public lands pursuant to s. 82 of the Public Lands Act. The Board found that it was without jurisdiction to make an award of compensation on the facts of this case and the Respondent's application to dismiss was granted. The Board granted leave to the parties to return to the Board to deal with the issue of costs if required.
