Decision: |
Appeal by an owner from a compensation award by the Alberta Land Compensation Board following expropriation of an 8.7 ac parcel from a 23.65 ac. block of urban land. The issue on this appeal was whether the Board had acted properly in determining market value of the land taken by finding the market value of the parent parcel and then assigning a value to the parcel taken on the basis of the per acre value of the parent parcel. It was held that the Board had not erred. The appeal was dismissed. |
