Decision: Application by the Claimant to the Alberta Land Compensation Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriation Act, S.A. 1974, s. 27. The Respondent had expropriated a fee simple interest in two parcels of land owned by the Claimant. One taking was a 12 ac. portion of a parcel comprising about 24 ac. The second taking was an 8 ac. portion of another 24 ac. parcel. The subject property was located in the City of Calgary. The land was taken for construction of the 43rd Ave. (Peigan) Freeway. The Board awarded $1,852,400 for market value of the land taken plus interest and costs.
