Application by the Claimant to the British Columbia Expropriation Compensation Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriation Act, S.B.C. 1987, c. 23. Constructive expropriation of 19 Crown-granted mineral claims located in Strathcona Provincial Park. The act of expropriation consisted of the adoption of an Order in Council pursuant to the Park Act, R.S.B.C. 1979, c. 309, which effectively prohibited all surface uses. An award of $375,000 was made for market value of the mineral claims plus interest and costs. |
