Decision: Application to the Alberta Land Compensation Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriation Act, S.A. 1974, c. 27. Full taking of 20 separate adjacent lots in the City of Calgary. The subject property was used for an automobile wrecking business at the date of taking. The land was taken for purposes of a public works yard. The business did not relocate after expropriation. The Board awarded $82,375 for market value of the land taken including improvements. A further award of $67,511 was made for termination of the business. Costs were also awarded to the Claimant. No interest was awarded.
