Decision: Compensation award by the Alberta Land Compensation Board pursuant to the Expropriation Act, R.S.A. 1980, c. E-16. Full taking of a fee simple interest in a parcel of land developed with a commercial/industrial building from which an auto parts business was conducted by the Claimant. The land was acquired by the Authority for purposes of the Old Towne Market in the City of Edmonton. In anticipation of the expropriation the Claimant acquired a replacement property to which it relocated the business. The Board made an award for the market value of the land taken and disturbance damages for losses and expenses arising from relocation of the business. Interest was also awarded.
