Decision: Application by a property owner for an order awarding compensation for the taking of its property allegedly caused by an amendment to the City of Winnipeg Act, S.M. 1989-90, c. 10. The Plaintiff owned a parcel of unimproved land located in the City of Winnipeg for which the Plaintiff sought a building permit to authorize a commercial development. The proposed development would likely have been approved at the time the application was submitted. However, the Act was later amended so as to prohibit approval of the proposed development. The action was dismissed.
