Decision: |
Appeal by the owner from a compensation award made by the British Columbia Expropriation Compensation Board following an expropriation conducted pursuant to the Expropriation Act, S.B.C. 1987, c. 23. Full taking of a parcel of land located in Surrey. The land was taken for highway purposes. At the date of expropriation, the land was developed with a veterinary clinic operated by the Appellant. Prior to the hearing before the Board the parties had agreed that it was not feasible to relocate the business. The Board awarded compensation totalling $815,568. At issue on the appeal were several disturbance damage claims. The appeal was dismissed. |
