Decision: |
Appeal by the Crown from a decision of the Exchequer Court allowing an appeal from an arbitration award of compensation for the partial expropriation of land pursuant to the Government Railways Act, 1881, S.C. 1881, c. 25. The land was taken for purposes of the Intercolonial Railway. The arbitrators had awarded $17,542 as compensation which was increased to $25,000 on the first appeal. On the present appeal the original award of the arbitrators was restored. |
