Decision: Application by the Claimant to the British Columbia Expropriation Compensation Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriation Act, S.B.C. 1987, c. 23. Partial taking of a parcel of land located in Maple Ridge for highway purposes. Highest and best use before taking was found to be for rural residential/agricultural with some potential for future development. The taking severed the remainder into two physically separate parcels on one legal title. An award was made for the market value of the land taken and for reduction in value of the remaining land. The Board also awarded interest and costs.
