Public Works and Government Services Canada ("PWGSC") provides real estate
services to the Government of Canada. The PWGSC Appraisal & Valuation Services department
has prepared a number of appraisal guidelines intended to establish consistency and
minimum standards in appraisal reports prepared for government use. These guidelines
are available on the
Valuation Guidelines
page on the PWGSC website.
Extracts from the guidelines which pertain specifically to expropriation, dated
April 1998 but still available from the site in August 2014, have been captured and
saved to ensure they remain available for study. These copies may be viewed by clicking
